Session 1 – The Basics of Cooking and Creating Healthy Snacks
For ages 9 to 14
Course Description: Kids will learn to make healthy snacks; master kitchen fundamentals and learn how to use the kitchen safely, what to wear
gain knowledge about germs; learn how to read a recipe; know how to clean up after cooking; review basic measurements; learn
how to use kitchen equipment appropriatley and learn chef terms.
Date: June 21 – 23, 2018
Time: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Cost: $100.00 per child
SESSION 2: Fun with Cooking
For ages 9 – 14
Course Description: This course is designed to build on skills learned in Session 1, but is also open to new enrollees. Kids will learn how to make appetizers, salads and entree’s.
Date: July 12 – 14, 2018
Time: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Cost: $100.00 per child
SESSION 3: Baking for Fun
For ages 9 – 14
Course description: This course is designed to build on skills learned in Session 1, but is also open to new enrollees. Kids will learn baking terms, baking ingredients, and learn how to use baking equipment. Kids will learn to bake easy cookie recipes, fruit crumbles and bars and muffins.
Date: July 26 – 28, 2018
Time: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Cost: $100.00 per child
