 LEGO nxt ROBOTICS

Learn how to assemble the NXT robots, how to work with light, sound and motion sensors, and how to program the robots using a computer. How would you like the opportunity to build a robot that responds to sound, chases it tail or throws a ball? With the LEGO nxt system you can get your robot to do these things and more. We provide the NXT kits and computer access.

Summer Cooking

Session 1 – The Basics of Cooking and Creating Healthy Snacks
For ages 9 to 14

Learn about kitchen safety,cooking equipment and chef terms. This session will also include
basic snack recipes that kids will make themselves!

Dates: June 21 – 23, 2018

Time: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Cost: $100.00 per person

 

Session 2 – Fun with Cooking
This course is designed to build on skills learned in Session 1, but is also open to new enrollees. Kids will learn how to make appetizers, salads and entrees.

Date: July 12 – 14, 2018

Time: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Cost: $100.00 per person

 

Session 3 – Baking for Fun – This course is designed to build on skills learned in Session 1, but is also open to new enrollees. Kids will learn baking terms, baking ingredients, and learn how to use baking equipment. Kids will learn to bake easy cookie recipes, fruit crumbles and bars and muffins.

Manners 101

Learn the exciting world of manners with Miss Etiquette (Anita Shower) as she takes you from your home, to your neighbor’s next door, to your classroom, and to your Mother or Father’s work place with the intent of always having proper manners.  Included will be how to shine with proper table manners, behavior while visiting your friends at their home, and the joy of having chores to do, animals to feed, and your room to keep orderly and clean.

Handouts will be available, table settings will be staged, with participation encouraged.

Writing composition books and pens will be available for each participant.

This is an hour and a half course with one break. Age-appropriate for those seven (7) years to twelve (12) years.

 Zulu Dance!

Zulu Dance Camp is hosted by Crystal Castillo, Spidey and their dance team. They are devoted to enriching the lives of children through dance. Hip-Hop fundamentals, Break-Dance basics, and the history of Hip-Hop will be taught. This dance camp is designed for boys and girls TK – 6th grade, and is an all-day, week long camp. They will learn fun choreography, special dance games, and the use of uplifting music is used to cultivate every child’s confidence. At the end of the camp, the kids will have learned a full dance routine that they will perform for parents, family and friends.

Zulu Dance strives to show every child the true meaning of Hip-Hop, which is peace, love, unity, and having fun!

Session 2 – Taking it Back Old-School Part 2!
Students will learn NEW lockin, poppin, breakin, and hip-hop choreography.
