On Saturday, February 23rd, at 10am and 1pm, iFixit will be at the Exploration Station to host an Extended Experience and the first “Make and Break” session. Are you interested in how things work? Want to take apart a computer and see what’s inside?

The repair specialists from iFixit will be here to help you take apart electronics, create something new from old parts, and investigate how things work. Repair is good for the pocketbook and good for the planet. See how repair helps to fix the world— one device at a time.

We’ll be hosting activities for all ages, though most activities are suitable for children age 7 and up. Activities include: Basic tool skills Station, iFixit created and demonstrated by Cal Poly. The Component Hunt Station which allows the kids to take apart electronics and gets them interested in engineering and repair. The Guide Making Station, which is suitable for older children, this station is sure to excite every child who wants to know ‘how things work”.
